Who we are

DOUBLEWAY LOGISTICS LTD ("Doubleway", "we", "us") is a freight forwarding and logistics company registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission (RC 9161673) and based in Lagos. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and guidance from the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

What we collect

• Contact details you give us through our website form, WhatsApp, phone or email: your name, phone number, email address and company name.
• Shipment information needed to quote and move your goods: descriptions of cargo, pickup and delivery addresses, invoices, packing lists and similar documents.
• Clearing documents required by Nigerian law, such as Form M details, PAAR, permits and identification or tax details where Customs or another agency requires them.
• Payment records such as invoices and payment confirmations. We do not collect or store card details on this website.
• Website data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, collected automatically through server logs and cookies.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote
• To book, move, clear and deliver your goods
• To prepare and submit documents to Nigeria Customs Service and other government agencies
• To send you updates about your shipment
• To keep financial and legal records
• To keep our website secure and working properly

We rely on one or more of these legal grounds: performing a contract with you or taking steps you asked for before one, complying with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in running and improving our business, and your consent where we ask for it.

Who we share it with

We only share what each party needs to do its part. This can include:

• Shipping lines, airlines and their agents
• Nigeria Customs Service, port and airport terminal operators, and regulators such as NAFDAC and SON
• Your bank or ours, for Form M and payments
• Haulage and warehousing partners
• Partner forwarders and agents at the origin or destination of your shipment
• Service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting and email

We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

Moving goods across borders means some information has to be shared with partners outside Nigeria, for example in the United Kingdom, China, the United States or the United Arab Emirates. When we do this, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected as Nigerian law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond and follow up. Shipment, customs and financial records are kept for as long as Nigerian law and regulators require. After that, we delete or anonymise the information.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
• Ask us to delete your information, unless we have to keep it by law
• Object to or ask us to restrict how we use it
• Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
• Ask for your information in a portable format

Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies to work properly, keep it secure and understand how it is used. Web fonts on this site are loaded from Google, which receives your IP address when the page loads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure connections on this website and limiting access to people who need it. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
